Annemarie Maes exhibits in Korea

Annemarie Maes, the artist whose work we presented in 2017 in our gallery in Korčula, is presenting the bio-art installation "Future Archaeology" in South Korea.

The international exhibition 'Brussels in SongEun: Imagining cities beyond Technology 2.0' engages in a socio-political discourse in facing the question of what constitutes a desirable ‘intelligent’ city in a time of technological revolution.
Curated by GLUON and SongEun ArtSpace, 7 Brussels-based and 4 Korean artists have been invited to present critical and creative visions leading to the conceptualization of more human and original ‘intelligent’ cities.
With the bio-art installation 'Future Archaeology' AnneMarie Maes presents artistic research results from her Laboratory for Form and Matter. In this Cabinet of Curiosities every object is the outcome of a particular experiment, with the focus on the transformative power of bacteria.
